Womanline, as you might imagine, is a Lesbian dating site.
Rather than pay a certain amount per month to use Womanline, members purchase a number of credits, and use a few each time they IM or email someone. Sending an email costs six credits; subsequent emails to that person are free. Six credits buy you a 20-minute chat session. This system is complicated and a little annoying, but it’s good for those who don’t want to make a long-term membership commitment or who want to avoid automatic rebilling hassles.
I joined the site to try and find people to review. After I filled out the entire form, it told me that my “login session has expired.” None of the work I did was saved, nor were my username and password activated. The second time, I skipped a bunch of questions so as to be done quicker, and it worked. I note, there's no “Pagan” option on the religions list, which is a pity, since Goddess spirituality is a big thing in some Lesbian circles. (There is “New Age,” which I suppose would do for some people.)
There are three areas in Womanline, which function a lot like three separate websites: One for friends/flirting; one for people seeking serious relationships, and one for “intimate encounters” (i.e. casual sex). You have to create a profile in each, if you want to be able to interact with the members in each area, and you have a separate mailbox for each area. Fortunately, they don’t charge you extra for joining multiple areas.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find someone to interview about Womanline, because the site booted me off for "soliciting members for commercial purposes." I didn't even get a refund for the credits I bought. Anyone want to tell me about her experiences there? Email me! Visit Site
